A bill has been drafted to offer menstrual leave in Spain.

If passed, the bill will state that employees are entitled to three days leave per month to deal with painful periods if supported by a doctor's note. This will be increased to five days temporarily for intense or incapacitating pain. This forms part of a wider reproductive health reform that is currently taking place in Spain, with changes to their maternity policy that was announced earlier this year.
